For One-on-One Lessons on the Maskool Platform
Welcome to Maskool as a teacher. This agreement outlines, in simplified terms, the policies governing the delivery, cancellation, and rescheduling of one-on-one lessons between you and your students, as well as how your payouts are processed. By creating any one-on-one lesson on the platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.
● You may offer one-on-one lessons only in the following durations: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
● You may offer a trial lesson to a new student to let them try your teaching style, limited strictly to 15 minutes and not adjustable to a longer duration.
● Once you publish a lesson, a student may book it immediately — there is no minimum advance booking cutoff, even if the lesson starts within minutes.
If a student cancels a lesson, the refund percentage deducted from the lesson fee depends on the cancellation timing:

Note: As the teacher, you retain the remaining portion of the lesson fee after the student's refund percentage is deducted, based on the cancellation timing.
You are also entitled to cancel a lesson yourself, in which case the same administrative policies apply to protect the student's rights.
● Either you or the student may request to reschedule a lesson, provided the request is made at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time.
● The other party must accept the new time or propose an alternative.
● If less than 4 hours remain before the lesson, rescheduling is not permitted. The lesson must be attended at its original time or canceled (subject to the refund percentages described in Section 3).
If a student purchases a lesson package with you but never schedules an actual time, they are entitled to request a refund of 80% of the unscheduled lesson's value. In this case, you as the teacher are not owed any compensation for the lesson that never took place, as the remaining 20% is retained solely as a platform fee.
You may not end a lesson before 4 minutes have passed from its start. This requirement protects the student from unjustified early termination and ensures they receive actual teaching time for the fee paid.
If neither you nor the student manually marks the lesson as "completed" right after it ends, the system will automatically complete it one hour after the scheduled end time, and your earnings will move from "Pending" to "Available for Withdrawal." It is recommended that you manually end the lesson as soon as it finishes to speed up your payout.
If you attend the lesson at its scheduled time and the student does not show up, and the lesson is auto-completed one hour after the scheduled end time, you are entitled to your full payout for the lesson, as the student is not eligible for a refund if they fail to attend without canceling within the required window.
If you fail to attend a scheduled lesson, the student may contact platform support to report the issue. If your absence is confirmed, a full refund will be issued to the student, and you may be subject to administrative action in accordance with platform policies.
The trial lesson is intended solely for a student trying your teaching style for the first time and is limited to 15 minutes. The platform reserves the right to monitor trial booking patterns and may restrict a student to one trial lesson with you or per subject, in order to prevent misuse of this feature.
By creating and publishing any one-on-one lesson on the Maskool platform, you acknowledge that you have read this agreement and understood the cancellation, rescheduling, refund, and payout policies outlined above, and you agree to abide by them.
