For One-on-One Lessons on the Maskool Platform
Welcome to Maskool. This agreement outlines, in simplified terms, the policies governing the booking, cancellation, and rescheduling of one-on-one lessons between you and your teacher. By booking any lesson on the platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.
● One-on-one lessons are available in the following durations: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
● Trial lessons (to try a teacher's style before committing) are strictly limited to 15 minutes and cannot be booked for a longer duration.
● You may book a one-on-one lesson at any time — there is no minimum advance booking cutoff, even if the lesson starts within minutes, provided the teacher is available.
You may cancel a lesson, but the refund percentage depends on how much notice you give before the lesson's start time:

Example:
If your lesson is at 5:00 PM and you cancel at 12:00 PM (5 hours before), the cancellation is accepted and you receive a 50% refund. If you cancel at 2:00 PM (only 3 hours before), you receive a 20% refund instead.
● Either you or your teacher may request to reschedule a lesson, provided the request is made at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time.
● The other party (you or the teacher) must accept the new time or propose an alternative.
● If less than 4 hours remain before the lesson, rescheduling is not permitted. You must either attend the original session or cancel it (subject to the refund percentages described in Section 3).
If you purchase a lesson package but never schedule an actual time with the teacher, you may request a refund of 80% of the unscheduled lesson's value. The remaining 20% is retained as a platform fee.
A lesson cannot be ended before 4 minutes have passed from its start. This requirement protects both parties from unjustified early termination.
If neither party (you nor the teacher) manually marks the lesson as "completed," the system will automatically complete it one hour after the scheduled end time, and the teacher's payout will be processed accordingly.
If you attend a one-on-one lesson and the teacher does not join, and the lesson is auto-completed by the system, you may contact platform support to report the issue. The case will be reviewed, and a full refund will be issued if the teacher's absence is confirmed.
The trial lesson is intended solely for trying a teacher's style for the first time and is limited to 15 minutes. The platform reserves the right to monitor trial booking patterns and may restrict a learner to one trial lesson per teacher or per subject.
By booking any one-on-one lesson on the Maskool platform, you acknowledge that you have read this agreement and understood the cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policies outlined above, and you agree to abide by them.
